Last night Bernard says something to the effect that now that he's sitting on this side of the fence (audience) he can see where Andre has his opportunities to go in and finish Brand. Floyd, used to cheer Pac way back in the day, and in his "doghouse" he encouraged brutality.

I ask, is there something to this? Two of the biggest safety first guys like to see finishes and brutality but when fans ask this of safety first fighters they get throttled by safety first fans. How do we not have a case when even safety first fighters themselves prefer to see finishes?

Now if even you could understand the double standard of the actual safety fighter not practicing what he prefers since he is currently not in the ring. How can any fan defend safety first when your only worry should be to be entertained? And please don't take what I'm say to rockem sockem extreme as a defense against what I'm saying.

Don't get me wrong, I enjoy defense, for me I like 40-60 defense being the 40, but when it gets to 75-25 with defense leading I gotta throw in the towel on the fight. Anyone care to try and explain why we should keep condoning safety first guys as our future stars when they take more from the sport then add to it?

    Depends on the opponent really.

Floyd for instance widely preferred not to take power shots if he could avoid them, even if it meant losing opportunities for easy hard counters.

VS Hatton however, Floyd did employ the safety first approach, but when the moment was there, the threat negated, he sat down his shots and ended the fight.

Same goes for Lara. In the Angulo fight, he was really drilling Perro with powerful L hand lead whenever Perro would come in without at least feigning the jab.
    Worked too.....cracked his orbital bone.

GGG worked vastly behind the jab vs Lemiuex, and used defense and boxings best footwork to nuetralize Lemiuex's monstrous power.

There's nothing wrong with being a defensive fighter, so long as when youve cracked the safe, you open it up. :think

Ward not finishing this guy is probably more because SOG prob not trying to catch a stupid injury/clash a heads ect...

Ward said making 175lbs is getting hard to make, He needs to beat Kovalev's azz asap before he outgrows that division aswell.
(Looks like GGG is off the hook now)

Give me a break, nobody prefer to watch guys running around and hugging, everybody wants to see action, those who preach hugging and running are usually the racists backing up their coward guy

Ward almost doubled brand over with a jab to the body
And he barely went to the body after that.

The only thing worse then a racist is someone who calls another man a racist with no proof!

Funny how people say Lara was the reason why the Canelo fight was boring. Canelo lacked the skill to compete, that is why the fight was boring.

I don't like to get hit either. But as a fan I come to see two guys go at it.
