Someone on twitter asked Eddie if Anderson/Smith would be on Matchroom's April 30th Liverpool card

Haha.... not sure what to think here.

It was probably a pretty low offer, but Smith is bound to have unrealistic expectations given that he's the self proclaimed 3rd biggest ticket seller in British boxing after Haye and Khan.

Smith is also a staunch Frank supporter, 1 of 3 in the whole country.

Eddie was offering Smith a lower purse than what he makes with Frank

Smith should appreciate that he will be paid in 7 days.

Smith doesn't even deserve a shot after losing to Degale and Groves.

    "in your back yard"

So I'm guessing most of the tickets will be sold because of Smith, not Anderson...

With most promoters losing money on shows due to high purses, surely boxers realise that they are overpaid in many circumstances.

You think they would want the shot on Sky and to actually be paid too.

Eddie said a very strange thing in his iFilm Lahndann interview

"we made a six figure offer for scott quigg and they turned it down"
"the fight has now gone to purse bids, will we win? I dunno" - he didnt sound hopeful

so if he can afford to offer a 6-fgure sum, then he almost definitely afford to win the purse bid, unless of course his 6-figure sum was rattled full of clauses and future options

All boxing promoters lie, get over it.
