George Groves played a blinder on Ringside the other night. He has clearly won the psychological battle and I loved watching him getting under the skin of Froch, a man whose arrogance is beyond words. Groves refuses to give him the respect Froch thinks he deserves. GG is impressive. He's never rattled and possesses immense self confidence and belief. He has the style and attributes to beat Froch and Froch knows it, which is why he's so rattled by him. This is boxing. It isn't for the faint hearted. GG is the emerging force in the division and Carl Froch is standing in his way. My money's on Groves.
You're right mate. But Froch has managed to eventually grab fame and popularity from sky sports followers and boxing fans, and the way Groves is acting he's losing a lot of support being the underdog would give him.
Groves came across as a complete ***** in that Ringside. Really disappointed with him "Your voice is breaking, are you going to cry" Froch just seemed to be thinking "Tosser".
Groves could have made a Maddie McCann joke on ringside and still not be as much of a c*** as Degale managed to come across back then (seems to have mellowed now and also few people I know have met him say he's a top bloke) That aside, Groves did come across childish no doubting that, but he got under the skin of Froch clearly too, and you fight angry you make mistakes. He also called Froch up on a lot of the bull he spouts.
Carl is a 3 time World champ, so he has earnt the right have a little arrogance. This Groves kid came across a right twat. He is obviously still being schooled by Booth, very very strange individual.
You honestly think two unlikeable guys beating the **** out of eachother isn't a draw? Haye/Chisora comes to mind
