I know Davis is hardly a pinpoint puncher, but man Bika looked slick. He did do a lot of leaning back, but he also slipped well. He used his jab well and when he wanted to rest he smartly kept distance with the jab. He occasionely winged wildly but not too often, as usual. I wished he'd worked the body more and threw more left hooks. Still good performance.
Not to sure about the finish at first, but Davis didn''t want it no more. If Froch doesen't fight Kessler or Dirrell next I'd love to see him fight Bika next. If not give Bika James Degale or someone like that.
Bika's awesome I love this guy. I dunno how the hell Bute managed to completely school him worse than anyone. I would think a relentless dude like Bika should have KO'd Bute based on the Froch debacle. Bika needs to be rated higher by most, he's just on the edge of being top tier 168....... the fact that he gave Ward the toughest and closest fight of his careeer is proof enough!
Maybe it is because Bute is not as bad as he was against Froch, even though we usually say that a boxer is as good as he was in it's last fight.
Bika is a beast. I've always been high on Bika for what he is. Always competitive. Kevin Cunningham did a solid job.
Yes, Bika looked impressive, but he's still very awkward. His punches tend to be looping rather than straight, and he doesn't really move back after throwing combinations. He's tailor-made for a really good counter-puncher. I haven't seen his fight against Bute, but I'm better that's how Bute beat him. Yes?
