    Anyone watch the contendor?

Well a guy that was in with Calzaghe, and according to the article in the Ring magazine, (since it wasn't on TV of course, cuz who the **** is Bika? Oh yeah, he's a guy that's on Contendor now), that gave Calzaghe a run for his money, looked like ****.

The guy was dropping his hands like a mother ****er to throw telegraphed uppercut, didn't possess that much power, and threw some wide shots.

I'm sorry, but Pavlik would have knocked Bika the **** out.

    Calzaghe struggled with him.

I don't think Bika would get away with using the tactics he used against Calzaghe on The Contender.

Styles make fight's and bika is a big super middle with a rough and ready style, and how do you know pavlik would have knocked him out. Pavlik has to decent wins in his whole resume, he almost got smoked by jt and miranda is hardly suger ray robinson. I think pavlik would probably beat bika but he hasn't even fought at smw yet so wtf are you on about.

He said his left hand was hurt in sparring a week prior to the fight.

I don't recall him saying it was broken.

Also, they say Calzaghe looked winded too.

The guy that fought him last night was a nobody, yet was able to hang with Bika.

And don't give me that styles thing, Bika leads with his head and all that, but he ain't Superfast, doesn't punch that hard, and throws some wide ass shots.

    He is tough though.

Yep, you're quite right, I'd editted my post before you posted this one.

I guess. I don't know, but that does make him look a little better.

He didn't give Calzaghe a run for his money. It was 100% that Calzaghe was going to win, right through the fight.

That guy was Donny McCracy, really tough journeyman/gate keeper with a great punch. Nearly took Green out with a great hook, something Miranda only came close to doing in the last round, if you want to get technical.

Plus, Bika's not a skilled guy, he's a rough houser who seeks to upset your gameplan and he's very strong.

And Calzaghe won 9 rounds to 3 easily, Bika was holding excessively in a way that trumped a John Ruiz style fight, he ought to have been DQed.

He's all muscle as it is.

I think you might have to cut something off that guy for him to make 160.

Yeah I want to know to, although winning the contendor doesn't necessarily mean anything if you go by history.

The only guy that won anything was Gomez and that was against a garbage ass Gatti.

    Forbes is good too.

    Grady Brewer? KOed by Pavlik.

Nobody has ever claimed that Bika was some world beater. He's a 168 fringe contender/gate keeper who gives guys a hard night, he's also a ****ing AWFUL style for Jermain Taylor, so Taylor should not take him up as a 'tune up'.

Not saying that Bika would win, but he'd sure give Taylor a nasty fight, possibly KO him late as Taylor fades.

    You know what's funny.

Codrington, little star boy, gets all of the easy bouts like **** Vera.

Bika has to fight a game McCrary and Soliman.:yep
