Currently at 61 views with this now the 1st follow-up comment, I think it speaks for itself how many people actually care.

Just goes to show how much relevance he has on the Australian boxing scene.

Bika has been poorly managed/handled throughout much of his professional career.
Good fighter that is a tough rugged fight for most.

Doesnt draw a fly to any of his matches whether they be based in the US or Australia.
Too much risk for no reward hence why he only fights eliminators every a year or 2, or the odd keep busy bum fight in Australia.

I'll give Mundine his due here, he and Khoder offered a super purse for Sakio some years back and Sakio kept wanting more and more and in the end, his purse demands were just farcical. I'm talking big, big coin.

He thought he was a huge 'draw', but as you said Kegs, couldn't draw a fly to watch his fights, end of.

I don't think he has an Australian fanbase full stop.

i think you are a bit harsh on the draw part. Yeah, he isnt a draw here, who is? 800 people turned up to see katsidis.

And was he ever supposed to be a draw in the US? He fought manfredo in his home town ( b side), ward in his home town ( b side) and fought an eliminator against a french man in vegas on the jmm/diaz card.

Poorly managed?.... Maybe, depends how you look at it.

Inactivity has more than likely hurt him. But in his last 4 fights, 2 have been title fights, and 1 was an eliminator. So on that score, you can argue he has
    been extremely well managed.

True regarding no one being much of a draw here, the Katsidis card turnout was a big disappointment.

Well by never being a draw anywhere he was always going to be on the b side of most fights he has had. Having the eliminator off TV prior to the marquez-diaz telecast didnt do much when no one saw it besides on youtube.

Inactivity has hurt Bika no doubt, but again regular fights will mean more interest will be shown in him so you can look at it both ways. Poorly managed in regards to inactivity & drawing any support.
Well managed in getting 3 hometown champs to defend their titles (UK & Germany & US) & 2 world title eliminators, 1 being on ESPN vs Bute, the other a "Dark" Match.

Bika is 9 months inactive now with no fights on the horizon.....

    far too much inactivity.

easy to forget about him, and makes it hard to keep people interested in him.

I would like him to fight Pavlik. Pavlik has just screwed himself out of a fight with Bute by turning down a 50k fight with some guy and might be on the lookout for a fight when he sobers up. Fun fight IMO. Pavlik by DQ.

Love Him or Hate Him he can hold his head up High for who he has fought, has not taken a backward step in all his 35 fights, his last fight he went the Distance with Andre Ward has gone the distance with Bute, gone the Distance with Calzaghe defeated Manfredo,Soliman and also fought Beyer,he he has stepped up to the Plate on many occasions against the Worlds best,Love to have seen him fight Mundine he would have destroyed Him ,and it's little wonder Mandy was never in a hurry to fight this Bloke,he was just simply to dangerous.!!!!!

When i first saw this Cat Bika fighting Joe i thought WTF is this guy is trying to get DQ'd on purpose for ? but after Joe started knocking snot out of Sakio after Old Enzo had read JC the riot act i realised Sakio had no BOXING skills (Still ain't if we are being honest ) and understood that he was just trying to survive by doing what he does best and that's to spoil , one thing i will can say about the fruit loop though is that he always brings it . Good luck to the fella .

I imagine it would be hard to match Bika, i doubt many guys want to face him knowing win lose or draw they are going to be in for a rough and tough night.
