G'day guys, It has been a busy time for Sakio since returning to OZ as the WBC Champ. Currently our only boxing World Champion. Every week Sakio has been making appearances at schools and fund raisers for various causes. Over the past few months he has teamed up with former WBC Champ Nigel Benn by putting in time going to many PCYC gyms running sessions and conducting motivational talks with the local people, particularly the young kids and boxers. Sakio and Nigel raised thousands of dollars for the PCYC cause by running the recent city to surf. Sakio hurt his shoulder last month but has started training and is looking and hoping for a December fight. He WILL fight anyone and only wants a big name. At this stage of his career and being The WBC Champion, it's simple: any of the top guys out there who want a shot and the $ are suitable, Sakio will fight. Should be news very soon. Cheers guys
Anyone who hops into the ring has balls. Geale is a 3 time world champion and eventually will go down as 1 of Australias greats. No need to bag him in every post u make. We understand ur not a fan of his. But bika is a weight division above him and geale has other fights in the near future that would be bigger. Good luck to sakio go fight the other world champions in his weight class.
Geale is not getting any big fights soon unless he is sacrificed to Golovkin. He is not getting a Barker rematch he is not getting a Mundine rematch. The cherry pick of Barker blew up in his face and has cost him everything he should try and beg Sakio for a fight IMO
Sturm rematch will be bigger for geale then a fight with sakio would be? And this two have sparred together and from what I heard geale got the better of it so y would sakio agree to a fight?
Why would Sturm rematch Geale? He doesn't have a belt. I doubt that Geale gets the better of the sparring, if he did it would be because Sakion is going easy on him, in a real fight at 168 Sakio beats up and stops Geale easily.
There's one big money fight for Sakio which he is a very good chance of winning, and that's against Chavez jnr.
