Nobody is saying Bika isn't a h2h nightmare.

Periban, however, is a blue-chip prospect and has been for some time (and that didn't cease to be the case when he encountered difficulty against Lester Gonzalez...nor when he "only" beat Francisco Sierra by MD, due to one judge's drawn card although it was mostly a comfortable ass-kicking for MAP where he absorbed some big shots late and didn't fade)

Yes, we saw him get unexpectedly rocked slugging with a journeyman before really stepping up in class. Yes, he can be hurt by a flush bomb (very few boxers can't) and has some defensive issues to patch up. That doesn't mean everybody who saw talent in him should immediately jump off the bandwagon and proclaim him a gatekeeper-to-be, or say that he's only fit to serve as fringe contenders' tuneup fodder while he's still never lost a professional match. :nono

Calling this 50-50 is in no way disrespectful to Sakio, and in retrospect may have even been flattery.

Of course, if Periban crumbles under Sakio's heavy hands and roughhouse pressure, you'll all bleat with smug satisfaction. However, if it's a clear Periban victory or even a close war that reaches the cards and could swing either way - how short are your memories going to be, I wonder? :think How much backpedaling, hemming & hawing will there be from those of you claiming this is like Bika vs. Manfredo all over again?

I'm not the one making declarative assertions that it's a one-sided mismatch in either guy's favor, am I?

    Quite the opposite, in fact.

    Why do you dislike Bika?

    Why do you dislike Bute?

Or is it the fans you dislike?

Bikas new trainers looks to have taught him a few skills. Hopefully it carries on from the last fight where sugar sakio bika showed up. Though not sweet enough to put his opponent away

I really want to see what Bika vs Froch would look like. Hoping this gets made before either calls it a day

What did your comment about Bute fans above have to do with Bika vs Periban? What did it have to do with what was being posted earlier?

And how do your projections about Bute fans contribute to the discussion?

    Your hypocrisy is staggering.

You've hijacked this tread with your bull**** about Bute and his fans and you're accusing others of having agendas, when all they want to talk about is Bika vs Periban.

    Pathetic.

You & BSB are notorious Bute fanatics. A quick comb through either of your posting histories will confirm this for anyone. A majority of both your posts regard him. You happened to both enter and comment in succession both expressing sentiments about how this is a mismatch in Bika's favor. It wasn't hard to work out why you both might be so adamantly, almost irrationally pro-Bika. Multiple occurrences of something, hence an observable pattern, hence my one remark.

Projections about those who are so certain the unbeaten prospect has no chance here against the guy with half a dozen losses.

If you're feeling staggered, it's from your own lack of mental balance.

Actually I made one single post about that. Hardly hijacking. You're the one that keeps bringing it up.

 Which I was doing in the first place, before you even came into the thread.

Actually, your tranny av is what's pathetic. Sort it out or permanent :ban

    ****ing weirdo.

I was actually just commentating this match up and stating my opinion, as you seen it before that I lost confidence in Periban's ability. You're just paranoid, this time at least. You start imagining things, they all wanna get you. The fans of Bute, they wanna get you and Periban. Run Forest run!

IB I don't know why you are saying Periban will walk through Bika...I just don't see it.

The only time I can remember Bika being off his feet was in the Contender final against Codrington. He'll give as good as he receives here IMO.
