Nah it goes alright...A lot of these beachside wankers totally right off the west but at least its mostly new, and you dont pay $7000 a week to live in a 50 year old cockroach infested walk in wardrobe.

Places like Matraville and Malabar have some areas that are as bad if not worse then any on the westside.

Other then the Goldy i wouldnt be anywhere else in oz then syd...

 

There is only one thing that turns me off Sydney and that is traffic.

 

After spending 4 weeks here in Japan, and after having gone out at night about 10 times and not seen one single fight, or even confrontation, I'd have to say that thats another bad thing about being in Sydney.
It's amazing how clean Japan is too, I mean, the air isn't as clean over here, but the streets are very clean, and people really pride themselves on keeping the joint clean. Noone throws away cigarette buds after they smoke, and many even ash their ciggs in the bin, or in their own cigarette packet.

I used to think Sydney was fairly clean, not compared to other cities in Oz, but worldwide, but the streets of Osaka and Tokyo are much cleaner. They should really be much dirtier considering the amount of people that live here.
