I've not been impressed with either in both of their fights during The Contender series. Bikka looked better against Calzaghe than he did in these fights. Soliman has spent legs and it's only Bikka's limitations that kept him from being stopped. I'm not sold on Codrington either but he'll probably outpoint Bikka.
The difference is that during the Contender they are also not having proper training camps, they are just doing all around training.
Solimon was very disappointing. Especially his lack of follow through. He caught Bika with some really good shots, and then jumped out instead of staying in the pocket and working him over. **** poor performance for a guy with Sam's credentials. Boo
My take?? What the hell happened to Soliman?? Where was the guy who fought Wright??? That guy?? Would have beat Bika:yep The Soliman that showed up?? :-( He gave away the first few rounds and its harder to play catch up in an 8 round fight. Sure the second half saw Soliman begin to counter effectively but too little, too late. I found myself perplexed, saying how can you jump on a guy like Wright like there no tomorrow in a 12 round fight and look :scaredas: against Bika(whom you've already fought before):huh Oh.. well... Bika it is!!!!!!! The new "Contender" Champion?? Jaidon Codrington, if ya ask me:yep Jaidon should be able to lead with his jab and with everything on the line? Outpoint Bika:good
That was the guy that fought Wright, however C Money, MW and SMW are two different things and Wright with his style allows Sam to committ to his crazy workrate, Bika's size and other factors do not. Also, the training camp situation is much different, Sam trained extensively for Wright where as in the Contender, it's a tournament and they have to wing it essentially. That china chinned Codrington is going to get destroyed by the way. The only reason he's in the finale is that he got the easy fights in Vera and Johnsen. McCrary and Soliman are quite a level up from those two low level club fighters.
I respect ya even when we disagree:yep 60 vs 68?? I'm not you're enemy!! In fact? Unification would honestly favor you're boy JC:yep In my perspective there's more to gain in a competitive loss vs the best, rather than s string of wins vs over matched opponents. Look the difference stemmed from their previous fight IMO!!! Sam was waaaaaayyyyyyyyy 2 catious in the first 3 ronds and that cost him the decision. As he opened up later?? He began to take control:yep I know the differences that can come from one weight to the next, but seriously?? Wright is an ELITE Boxer Bika ISNT!!!! ****ing Bika is gonna have major problems with JAIDON:good How you have th balls to jump on Winky and allow Bika to do what he wishes is beyond me. Bika isnt a HUGE PUNCHER and they had faced each other previously, so the weight difference shouldnt be that much difference in this case:nono Shame on Soliman:hey Had the same guy that fought Wright shown up?? It'd be Soliman vs Codrington. I'm not any more impressed with Bika, but was less impressed with Soliman:yep
