I agree. Lomachenko beat a decent 30 fight veteran in his pro debut and is now facing a top 10, maybe top 5, fighter at his weight in only his second fight. Hard not to root him at this point.

it's disappointing the amount of Mexicans that are cheating on the scales.

clearly looking for the unfair advantage.

Salido is clearly looking for an advantage. boiling down to the contracted weight would leave him weakened. this way, he can be at full strength to give him the better chance of a win.

it's something he planned to do all along. the Mexicans are getting something of a reputation for doing this ****.

wanting Lomachenko to lose because he's White and the hate you have for Arum makes you a bit of a hypocrite, no?

you should want Loma to lose because you're a fan of Salido, not because he's White.

Gotta admit, having Salido not make weight.. but Chavez make weight gives this card a feeling of "oddness". Like, the natural laws of the universe are slightly out of whack.

He has no weight excuse and there is no win/win.

A fighter that comes in 2 lbs overweight and doesn't bother to try and lose it doesn't get to claim he was were drained when he gets his ass kicked.

This is a good possibility, he needs every advantage he can get

In a USA Today article Lomachenko said he's been sparring 20 rounds and is expecting Salido to fight dirty and is prepared for it. I'm sure Salido will too and am very interested to see how he handles a vet with top notch foul skills. Just hope a foul doesn't ruin the fight.

+1. Glad to hear Loma's realistic about how Salido's going to approach this fight and is prepared for it.
