loma got cheated out of the title. There is some justice that Salido did not get to keep the belt though.

i only remember a handful of occasions that Salido went too low. it looked like a legit win to me.

but it's not surprising that the Loma fans are now looking for excuses for that god awful performance tonight. didn't anybody in his camp tell him you actually have to throw punches to win fights?

    he deserved to lose.

Loma outlanded Salido 164-142 and that if you count Salido low blows. There is some justice though: Salido lost the belt, got fined and Loma picked up some nice extra cash.

Loma held repeatedly in the mid rounds no warnings or deductions. Ref wasnt great but alot of Salidos shots were on the belt but yea a few were low too.
Salido won cos he dictated the pace and won most rounds on aggression and activity not through corruption. Why would Top Rank favor Salido anyway, they would want Loma to make history no?

Clinging for dear life at the end don't mean you lost.

He didn't cheat. He just showed everyone that experience does matter. Even with the low blows, only an experienced guy would know how to position himself to repeatedly target a mobile fighters hips and get away with it.

His low blows were were just ridiculous, but what was even more ridiculous was that **** referee Lawrence Cole allowing him to do that and not giving him a single warning. I still think Salido won the fight but I am no longer a fan of his.
