betting wise it has to be juanma. last time out looked a bad case of judgement followed by even worse judgement. wouldn't say lucky by salido but fortunate to be throwing a right hook at the right place at the right time.

the return should be all juanma. we cant tell what the loss really has done for him with the fight with mike oliver. because oliver as good as he is at sub contendership level didnt have much pop and was flimsy when pressure fighters fougth him. lopez had an opponent perfectly suited for him.

salido might of slipped with the poor showing against that Filipino kid. but to be honest the belt wasnt on the line, he was fighting a poor opponant and when he was decked you could see he manned the whole situation and got rid of him.

i think salido has it in him to beat lopez again. i think he has improved and has much more pride in his work. salido fights briliantly against all the southpaws i known he has fought and his agressive ball wrecking style mixed with some standing off movement and some nice tricks. i think could catch lopez again. defintly and i will be rooting for salido also.

It's a total question mark, for me. JML is the most too-Mexican-for-his-own-good Puerto Rican I've ever seen. And, Salido, what does he have left? Did he lose it, since the first?

I haven't seen the Haya fight yet, no. That's why I'm on the fence about how much Salido has had taken out of him at this point. :D

The fact that he's not one to get rocked by even the biggest of hitters is what surprised me about the Haya fight. I'll admit I'd never seen Haya fight before so had no idea whether he had punching power or not, but it did seem on paper like another time killing defense before a JuanMa rematch.

I do plan on watching it before the JuanMa rematch though, so I'll be more than happy to hold my hands up if it does look like it's beginning to catch up with him - just don't want to write him off without having seen the fight.

That's perfectly reasonable, it's all speculation anyways until the action actually commences, really.

Of course an indifferent performance isn't indicitive of one reason, there's various possibilities as to why he almost came unstuck. He could've fought to the level of an opponent who was a lesser fighter than himself, perhaps he took the challenge of Haya lightly and almost paid the full price, the shot he walked onto while pasting Haya might've dropped any fighter and had them on shaky legs, or he isn't the force he was.

Could be anything, really. I'm merely siding with the latter because I've seen him storm through the best Juanma had, take some of Marquez's most adept counters, Cristobal Cruz's bombs, and - despite being ''dropped'' on two occasions - Gamboa's combinations and never really appear to be on ***** Street to quite the extent he was here(there's Guerrero too, but there's the issue of whatever he had in his system regarding that one). Though there's of course a more than valid argument that the shot Haya caught him with in the third was far more unexpected than anything more illustrious foes had hit him with.

I'm not certain, just the impression I got from what was my only viewing of it. I'd advise you to give it a watch whenever you can anyways, it's a bit of a doozy that snuck up on us before Christmas.

    Salido T/KO again.

Don't trust Juanma's chin at all. He'll be the same fighter on the night.
