Seems Salido-Lomachneko is being looked at as the opener to the Chavez-Vera rematch, probably March 1.

Salido's co-promoter Zafner Promotions wants to see Salido-Lomachenko on its own card as a headliner and not the undercard to Chavez though.

I think this fight is a nice fit as an opener to the Chavez-Vera rematch but is not an HBO main event on its own.

I don't know how anyone can get excited for Chavez-Vera II. Chavez walked around like a mummy and ate shots all night. Best case scenario he comes in shape, the Texas commission forgets to give him a drug test, and he KO's Vera in under 5 by yet another questionable Lawrence Cole stoppage.

At least Salido-Lomochenko will be an interesting and possibly great fight. Then again it could be a freakshow slaughter.

Vera kicked Chavez jr's ass everyone knows that
Oh & BTW if you think Jr needs help to win Fight in Vegas like Mayweather does.
They'd forget the drug test & provide a crooked ref. In Texas Vera gets a fair crack of the whip

I don't know man. Chavez-Vera 2 is gonna be pretty good. It's gonna be in Vera's backyard and Arum is sick of Jr.'s **** so it's possible that Vera will get the nod if he actually wins, LOL.

Hmm. I feel like despite never being as high as some on Salido and while he is fading, that I should pick him over the novice professional if for no other reason than that.

I read that the Lomachenko/Salido fight will happen, and I agree, it should be the main fight instead on the undercard...........

Big Salido fan but the truth is he has seen his best days. (Years)
Salido has shown vulnerability in each of his last "Big" fights been down in just about every last one of his fights including his wins. Just being realistic about it.

Hopefully I'm dead wrong And "Siri" KHTFO... But Arum knows what he is doing here. Perfect timing.

you are propably right but it is lemon chicken 2nd fight ffs.. He is only 25 years old kid with great amateur pedigree taking tough as nails multiple time world champion. This is one of the greatest if not just craziest step up in competition.

    true dat!
but i would think a title fight would get the nod over a vera fight.
either way, 2 fun fights to watch if it comes off
