Don't have much more to say when even HBO usually blind and bias commentators saw it and you can't see it.
Bottom line. Loma's managers fault. I would have taken my 1-0 fighter home after weight in. Not need to expose him to that disgrace.
:happy This, he would have gt his title shot next fight anyway, the team thought he would be good enough against Salido took a risk and it backfired
Using HBO commentators to back up your claim is futile, they have a specific guy they're always rooting for, and since this "cold war" began they're always going to root for the stars from the TR stable. They've always held a bias disposition in general and I don't listen to them ever when it comes to the assessment of a fight. I always watch HBO broadcasts with the volume off so I don't get a skewed perception of what's ACTUALLY happening in the ring. And Roy Jones is probably the biggest cheerleader for Loma.
If you want to complain about Salido coming in around 145 pounds for the fight, that's ok. But if you want to start spewing out baseless excuses on how Loma lost INSIDE the ring, just save your breath. he lost, fair and square. Nobody put a gun to his head to take on Salido in his second fight. It was his management's fault for even pairing the 2 fighters up, this is classical delusions of grandeur.
Loma couldn't pull the trigger and chose to hold on non stop. It was a winnable fight for him if he didn't clam up. Its his own fault. Not his managers.
Hahaha good save with the disclaimer at the end. "Against a fighter with one fight." I see your boy Mayweather really exhausted himself to make weight against a light weight fighting at welter for the first time. atsch
Bottom line is that loma looked out of his league. In fact, the dirty tactics that salido was using were so ordinary and nothing compared to some of the trickery some experience fighters use. He couldnt adjust to that, so I could just imagine what a really crafty fighter would do to him at this point in his career. The thing that was most evident is that he fought like he was completely lost. That clearly shows his lack of experience. Does he have a future? Yeah, I say so. He wasnt damaged physically, if anything he learned a whole lot of what it means to be pro
Agree 100% Well said. Funny thing is the weight didn't even matter. People forget Loma hurt Salido. For all his power shots 'landed' Salido never hurt Loma. One judge had the right score as well. Levi Martinez 115-113 for Loma. The thing that not many people are talking about is how Salido got away with leading with his head: proboxinganalysis.blogspot.com.au/2014/03/robbery-in-texas
I scored the fight 115-113 Lomachenko. He did the cleaner work and outlanded Salido especially to the head. If you factor out the lowblows he outlanded him considerably. He outlanded him 133 to 41 to the head. He was doing the cleaner work Salido should have been dq'd after about 4 rounds let alone go 12 continuing to low blow and not even get a point deduction. Lomochenko did clinch a lot but you see wose from other fighters and they don't get a point deduction eg Ward,Wlad. And much of the time Salido was coming in with his head low throwing bodypunches andlow blows, Lomo had to clinch a lot of the times due to this. Salido in the last two rounds did the worse clinching of the fight, holding Lomo's gloves and wasting lots of time and stoping Lomo from attacking him when he was hurt, this was the most blatent holding in the whole fight and if Lomo had lost a point for holding earlier then Salido should have lost one there too. That referee should never be aloud in the ring again , he ruined the fight by leaving Salido low blow and headbutt and also did nothing about the clinching
I was very disappointed with lomas performance. I must admit I expected him to perform a lot better and I even had money on him to stop Salido. As far as the result goes I think Salido deserved the win I was thinking to myself how did this guy win so much in the ameteurs ? He spent most of his time worrying about Salido and doing grekko style wrestling rather than his own offence. Very disappointed all hype
Are you clowns seriously trying to defend Salido here for failing to make weight?. Castillo was a cheater too and an unprofessional cheater in his rematch against Corrales(RIP). Mayweather was a cheater too for failing to make the contracted catchweight against Marquez. You sure as hell won't see me defending trash acts like this. Mayweather's fault wasn't nearly as big as Castillo and Salido and not even close. Mayweather was a welterweight fighting a welterweight, Salido was a super featherweight fighting a featherweight. There's a reason his title is vacant today.
