Well If JML comes in survival mode then yes but if he comes in trying to win I think it will be much shorter.

I asked that question yesterday to Robert Garcia and he believes Juan Ma takes it this time by UD.
    I agree with him

I just dont see it. Not at all. I am trying to think of scenarios where I have seen him box good enough to beat a pressure fighter like Salido and I dont think he ever has displayed that type of skill.

How do you think he pulls this one out?

If it goes the distance, then it'll be a guaranteed victory for Lopez.

Juan Ma knows all the chips are on the table so Im sure he took his training for real this time and he will follow the plan.;)

I believe Juanma will do more boxing and impose his strength down the road.Meassuring his punches and avoiding the slugfests, his loss against Salido was a tragedy waiting to happen,he was seen already being rocked by lesser fighters, not like Gamboa who gets floored to get up even more furious, but seriously hurt. And his conditioning always very poor.Lopez has been successful based in his heavy hands and even heavier heart.I think he will benefit a lot working with Cotto's team who has very high standards of conditioning and pure boxing skills.
Going to the judges in a close fight in PR will be for Lopez, but don't rule out getting a KO victory.

    Lopez has no skills. None.

But he does have a MASSIVE punch and willpower. Can't wait to see this one!

This is a great fight we have coming up. In this type of matchup, I think the mental edge is huge and Salido has it. He knows he can take JuanMa's shots and keep coming forward.

It will be a tough, grueling fight and the scorecards will be incredibly close when Salido pulls off a late TKO; perhaps as late as the 11th or 12th.

Should be a great fight. Can't really pick a winner this time.

I think that Salido has slipped a bit since the first fight and JuanMa will be really concentrated for this one. JuanMa shaky chin is always the big question mark in his fights but I think that he will take punches a bit better than in the first fight with better conditioning. I'll bet on Lopez but I won't be sad if Salido pulls it off because he is one of the nice stories in boxing.

The thing is Cotto has progressively shown improvements in his boxing skills from fight to fight to get to where he is now. Lopez has not shown any of those things. His defense is average at best. His chin is below average and his conditioning is poor probably due to cutting weight.
Those things just are not good when facing a guy just as big as you who has a solid chin, big power and stamina to go for 12 hard rounds.

also JML has a temper and does have some warrior in him. With his shaky defense he will get hit and once he does I have a feeling he will want to trade.

The changes people are talking about I have never seen develop in such a short amount of time. I am pretty sure I will be putting money down on Salido.

But Salido last performance was poor, got dropped a couple of times against some unknown dude.Lopez is fighting now the fight of his life.
its a tough fight, but is assume that Lopez took it more seriously this time.
Salido winning won't be a surprise

Lopez didnt look so good himself in his last fight neither tho...I mean, yeah he KTFO the dude in 2, but was still getting hit wayy too much...And the dude he was fighting was pretty much a CAN..and i believe he was much smaller as well.

True however it was really just a stay busy fight. This is actually a big fight. So while this is a big fight for JML this is also a big fight for Salido.

Both know its huge for them and i expect the best version of each fighter on fight night.
