Loosing to Salido don't look good on any resume if Loma wants a rematch better pays him the guy is in the tail end of his career I strongly back Salido.

 

Check Micky's video before judging anybody Salido is a warrior I don't have to defend him but he deserves a good pay date, Loma needs him not the other way around.

 

Loma was grabbing Salido high and left his hands loose for 4-5 rds, damned near begging Salido to bang away at his scrotum.

Lawrence Cole allowed the holding, and he allowed the low blows as well.

Loma couldnt figure out how to work out of a hold, or how to tie up properly.

Now, Salido could have his daddy reffing, and Loma would still put him to sleep in a handful or less rds.

There was an 11 lb. weight difference in the ring, not 20 lb weight difference, about the same as Maidana Mayweather, whereas I think the and between takedowns, kicks, rabbit and kidney punches, low blows, elbows, elbow-torquing, and head-butts, yes Maidana committed 50 fouls, and no, he did not have to deal with the worst ref in boxing, Mayweather did.

The difference is, Salido has the victory and any future opponents do not.
Certainly Salido getting the bigger purse is very unrealistic, but given Loma and Salido are similar level attractions, Loma should be doing more to make this fight happen - at the end of the day, in the opinion of most it was 116-112 Salido regardless of the fouls - it's pro boxing and you do what you can get away with.
He hasn't marketed himself enough on a business level to deserve $1m+ paydays whilst Salido gets comparatively far less.

 

I don't think Loma needs to avenge his loss to Salido per se. The alarming thing about the Loma Salido fight is that Loma had problems with the pressure. It was only Loma's second pro fight and that matters, but I would like to see Loma fight another good pressure fighter. To show that he's improved.

Otherwise we just have to assume that pressure is Lomachenko's stylistic kryptonite. Can Loma handle pressure? I don't know. We really just don't know.

 

Salido 116-112 is not a good score. it was an even fight but I suppose you could of had it 115-113 for Salido. I have no clue how you can say it was the score "regardless of the fouls". If not for Cole allowing him to to foul the entire fight he would not have seen the final bell. Loma still was about to finish but Cole stepped in front of him for no reason halting his assault.

I honestly have no clue why so many of you keep saying Loma needs to do more to make the fight FFS they are offering Salido half the money what more shoud Loma do: give him all the money and offer to clean his house for a year?

How is Loma supposed to market himself better: ride a unicycle, juggling flaming bowling while doing a freestyle rap/ They are marketing him as best as they can, it not their fault he is fighting in a country where his ethnicity is broad brushed and marginalized by it's ignorant masses.

 

As Mikey Garcia recently said, there's often just not enough money available to pay two fighters similar purses. I think Loma has a guarantee from Bob of something like a million. Will the fight make enough to give Salido the 700,000+ purse he wants? Walters accepted 300,000 to make the Loma fight. I don't know how the other income and expenses could be so much different to come up with a few hundred thousand more for Salido. If Salido wants more I guess this has to be at a big stadium, and Salido's promoter should pitch in with more of the ticketselling gruntwork. We can't just say Salido deserves to drain Bob because of his great career. Truth is he should probably accept what he was offered.

 

Give Salido what he wants or history will not be kind o you Loma. You don't run from rematches and accuse the guy who beat you of wanting too much. And we don't move on either. Pay the man and do the rematch. No excuses!
