Lopez fought Salido dumb both times and was stopped both times. Garcia has power in both hands which is why I think Garcia stops Salido.
I don't expect Garcia to put himself into a war of attrition. Salido isn't some unstoppable force, he can be boxed. He can also be hurt.
JuanMa and Gamboa also have devastating power in both hands. One was stopped, the other even tho he won had alot of problems. If anyone is getting stopped in this match up, its gonna be Mikey. :good
I think Garcia is the most technically sound guy in those weight classes. I think he UD win vs wild man Salido surviving some scary moments along the way. BX
I know but I am I am slightly broke after the holidays and being smarter with my money in 2013, Is one of my resolutions. I want to see Judah vs Garcia live too.....that atmosphere is going to be crazy! I am thinking the 1/19/2012, is better card to see live and just catch Garcia and Zab on Showtime. But I promised my girl that we would see the Garcia fight together at the barclays center.... I cant have my cake and eat it too....lol Then Hopkins vs Cloud on 3/19/2013 at Barclay's they are killing me with these fights back to back to back in New York :think
Nah, Garcia is way more technically sound than Juanma is. Besides, he isn't gonna go toe to toe with Salido like Juanma did. He's gonna pump the jab and move and outbox Salido. Salido is a tough SOB, but he is too wild for Garcia's sharp straight punches
Juanma fought much better and used his guard better in the rematch, which is why he caught and dropped Salido. Lopez also had power in both hands, much more, so that reasoning is flawed. Mikey is more fundamentally sound than Juanma, not arguing that. But I'm not sure he's skilled enough to outbox Salido, who beat Guerrero and went 12 rounds in a competitive fight against a prime Juan Manuel Marquez. Just look at Mikey's last fight, his opponent was getting inside no problem. Mikey got the better of the trading with better accuracy, but if he lets Salido dictate the fight, he's got huge problems.
This fight reminds me of Jose Luis Castillo vs Julio Diaz. The young lion did decent until the old lion's pressure and experience kicked in. However, it may be too soon after the JML war for Salido to take this type of fight. Hopefully he still has enough left in the tank to beat Garcia.
Gonna be a great fight just found out about it a minute ago. Was thinking about giving up this year on boxing at least for modern times but this treat will be a good farewell fight ftm. Not rooting for either but this will be worth waiting for hope both come in healthy.
