Can't be worse than the Abner Mares fight where he punched his opponent like 200X in the nuts. Moreno, I believe.

Lomo got an a great introduction to dirty fighting at the highest level that night.

Lomo and his corner failed to smarten up the ref and failed to fight dirt with dirt.

Great fight and I think I scored it a draw

As much as I think should've at least got 2 points deducted(and It was a shame that the low blows helped him to edge some of the rounds), I scored the fight 7-5 for Salido. Loma had him figured out and would've spanked him in an immediate rematch, but the L stands.

King Kong. I'm a big believer in getting away with what the official (and the other boxer) lets you get away with, but when the official is as blatantly bought and paid for as Mora was, even I draw a line.

This one should be watched at least a couple of times. This was another dodgy decision with poor judging and officiating. At least a draw, 6-6 in rounds would have been in order, I suppose, but if anyone has an edge, it's Lomachenko 7-5. Loma landed the better legal punches, more clean legal punches, not ones below the belt, and he finished stronger. This was welcome to the pro game for Loma and he improved for it.

Funny you leave out the 50 low blows Saleazo hit Loma with along with coming into the fight way over weight limit. Is that the “effective offense” you’re referring to? Lol

    Loma >>> Saliso

Excuses don't win fights. The reality is Loma lost. If the ref doesn't step in the fighter should be able to take care of themselves. Also, as I said above Loma learned from it, since Loma started employing a couple of dirty tactics himself in later fights. If the ref doesn't see it or call it it's legal. Every fighter that's made it to the top has used some dirty tactics here and there to get an advantage.

What are these “dirty tactics” that Loma EMPLOYS?? Lol

I saw Rigo try every dirty tactic in the book against Loma and still got his ass schooled. What are the dirty tactics Loma EMPLOYS that are on the level of hitting an opponent low over 40 times and missing weight by the obscene amount Salido did????

They both used illegal tactics. It’s biased to say only Rigo used dirty tactics when Loma used them also and even even hit Rigo after the bell.

As I said before every top fighter has a few dirty tricks they use every know and than to get an advantage and Loma is no exception. When guys catch him clean in range he’ll hold the guys head down with his forearm with all his weight to get the guy to restart and stiffen up the neck muscles. This is illegal, but effective. Wlad was a master at using this and Fury isn’t too bad at using this method as well.

Also, when Loma uses angles and his back is to the ref he’ll purposely connect with his forearm or on the back of the head, since the ref can’t see it. Holyfield and Marciano used this trick a lot. Loma’s been using this trick a lot more, since he’s moved up, which again is smart because his punching power isn’t as effective at 140 as it was at 135.

If you want to believe that Loma never bends the rules a little when the opportunity presents itself power to you.

7-5 Salido for me. But that should either be a draw with just point deductions, or a DQ. Until recently re-watching I'd forgotten just how blatant those below the belt shots were, it was remarkable really. The fact he hadn't bothered to make weight is shitty too, and Loma still nearly had him out of there at the end.

There should be asterisks all over it, but it is what it is and that is a W for Salido
