Well as a fellow Brit, i never once heard or read any of the anti semetic accusations that apparentley happened to Salita.

If it had it would have been all over the news.

And i wanted Salita to win, new he wouldnt, but i wanted him to.

 

I was one of the few that is posting that was actually at this fight. He is talking rubbish.

He got boo`d yes. But in no way was there any racial tension in the arena, or outside the arena.

There were Jewish people all over the building before the fight started and let me tell you, they were given the same amount of respect as everyone else.

In a word he not only was outmatched, he went into the ring looking scared. He didnt want it with Khan. You could tell. Now he is making weak excuses because he got owned.

It makes me sick to think that even one person might believe his lies.

And what the hell is all this rubbish about muslims giving him a hard time. It was a majority white crowd you Idiots!!

The whole sorry episode reminds me of when Frank Bruno KO'd an American in about 30 seconds - his record was 17-3.

There was an interesting article on him before the fight, during which Bob Arum and Lou DiBella mentioned their promotional deals with him..... they tried to make matches with Cotto and Malingaggi in 2007 but Salita wasn't interested (on financial grounds).

I was ringside at the fight and quite honestly nothing happened. Of course the crowd booed him, a passionate crowd would boo any foreign challenger in a top of the bill fight!
