I've seen lots of both and think there are a number of points of contention.

    1) Sanchez was a great fighter who collected some fine scalps, but he struggled with slickers guys. Go watch his fights with Ruben Castillo and Pat Cowdell. Lomachenko is levels above either one. That's not to say Lomachenko would win, but let's use the right context.

    2) Bringing up the Salido loss is minutely relevant. It may play to some perceived weakness, but I don't know many who believe Salido would have won had they had an immediate rematch, let alone when Vasyl got a few fights under his belt. Lomachenko clearly became a better fighter afterwards.

I wouldn't call a winner because I think it's too early, but this would be a hard time for either man.

At 126 I would take Loma over Sánchez. And I have nothing but respect for Sanchez.

People talking up the Nelson fight have to remember that yes, Nelson was a legend, but Nelson took that fight on two weeks notice. If Nelson has a rematch would he have beaten Sanchez? Maybe.
