On the money. Furthermore, there’s no need for all the woulda coulda shoulda with him. He already proved himself to be an all time great fighter. Not perfect, but genuinely great.

Finally found time to watch this.

    Bravo, Rummy.

I’m glad you went in depth enough to recognize and include Gomez’s bounce-back rally after the early pummeling to give him a fair shake. Sal dominated early and closed the show later, but in between it was a very competitive go.

As for Salvador Sanchez, RIP champ.

I’ll be watching this today. Sanchez is one of my five favorite boxers of all-time. A unique young master of the art form and he crammed so much into such a short space of time.

Watched this earlier. Great video and analysis. Much appreciated. Sanchez is one of my favorite fighters ever.

I don’t think Sanchez had a great technique of throwing punches but he had great skill if that makes sense. He had really natural talent/skill and sense in the ring. Great counterpunching and instinct. He had that winning gene. Knew exactly how to win a fight. Like I said there’s more pure stylists, better technicians etc; but few with his boxing instincts and brain. He was always thinking and making the right decisions. Also he was built for the battle. Amazing stamina and chin.

Not at all. I'm sure your insight will continue to inspire, and shan't be limited to Sanchez himself.

I’d love to see you do one of these on Carlos Zarate if you ever get the chance and time.
