Salvador Sanchez Overrated?

Hold on, hold on. What was your score for the fight? That was no hometown verdict. It was a close but deserved win.

It's kind of annoying when people take any close fight and turn it into a "home cooking" thing if they think it can further some ancillary point. I've never read anyone here say Sanchez got a gift decision against Ford.

I had it dead even after 14 and had Sanchez take the 15th (which he won big) to come away with the very narrow verdict. Just because he struggled there doesn't mean he lost.

 

I'm stating that two of the judges of a fight that was held in Mexico between a Mexican world champion and a foreigner were Mexican,I'm further asking you two questions .

Q1. Do you think that was right?
Q2. Comparing the respective two defences of Sanchez and Pedroza over that common opponent ,which one was the more impressive? For the record the ref in the Pedroza fight was American and neither of the judges were Panamanian.
I don't have to further any point the poster I was debating with has run away!

As long as the judges ( Mexican or otherwise) get it right (and they did) then I have no problem with it. Again, what was your score?

And sure, Pedroza's defense against Ford was more impressive. So what? What does that have to do with anything? Whose defense against Laporte was more impressive? That means nothing either, though the answer is different.

You have no problem with two of the three judges being the same nationality of the defending champion? That's a first. I don't think any fighter or his manager would be so relaxed about that situation! Thanks for getting back to me anyway.
It's been a long time since I saw this fight and if memory serves it was only high lights.I'll try and watch it and get back to you with an honest opinion,nice to exchange with an adult.
