As said Extremely underrated to pass on @ such a young age in car crash.
One of the best when I first started getting into boxing as a kid.

I keep Sanchez ahead. Lopez (twice), Gomez and Nelson. All before the limits.

I just checked and he was only 23.

He did more relative to their respective ages but not over the course of their careers. That's why I don't believe it's appropriate to rate Sanchez as the greater of the two. If one wants to say that he was more talented and therefore better, I'm okay with that. I just haven't been able to get behind that idea yet. I think it's hard to pinpoint how much Sanchez progressed over his short career and how good he may have become, and whether that peak would have been superior to Chavez's.

Just because he died so young doesn’t make him “underrated”. He’s always been considered as one of the greatest Mexican boxers ever alongside Chavez, Olivares, Saldivar. And he has wins over arguably the best fighters from PR (Gomez) and Africa (Nelson) and also the hardest punching featherweight (Lopez). Hardly underrated by any means.
