OK, what I didn't get was the "he bounced a little too much for my taste" comment. He did so when he was pressured to stay in motion at lower weights for the most part. At the higher weights, are more around his prime, against the boxer types, he'd look more to stalk.

Yes, I understand. Again, what I don't understand is your comment about "he had a little too much bounce in his step for my liking" or whatever you said. What was excessive about it? Do you understand the question?

    Let me know.

yeah ... maybe it was unneccessary but ... i had it a draw ... I think they wouldve beat each other up and no winner wouldve emerged.

I'm a fan of both of these guys ...

Maybe you need boxrec for that info, but not me. That's not exactly something that's hard to know.

The Hearns/Arguello 4 division thing I knew from this documentary.

I always use boxrec to gather info, isn't that what it's there for?

Unless of course boxing is your full time job, which in that case, I'm jealous.

boxrec is a good tool for reference. I use it more to check The Ring's ratings than anything else. How else are you gonna know who was ranked in 1967 or whatever in a certain division?

We were all robbed from seeing Sal at 130. I think he would have been great at that weight too. This fight was like a dream match up in Latin America before Sal died. 23 ****ing years old man, sucks we didn't see Sal in his prime. I would take Sanchez in a tough fight after 15 rounds. At 126 or 130. Remember the kid was only 23 and already had world class skills.

I could only imagine a fight between a 28-29 year old Sanchez vs a 25-26 year old Chavez at 130. What could have been. :-(

Two of my top 10 all-time favorite fighters. Been watching some Sanchez lately and he was just fantastic. IMO Sanchez was faster, quicker of hand and foot, and his chin may have been a bit better. Arguello was a stonger puncher and a bit longer. I think they we're very close technically. Unless the size advantage of Arguello comes into play in a big way, I think Sanchez winds by decision.
