Ok, I suspect this has been done before. But I want to know. How does this go and who wins it? I am thinking of a slightly older Sanchez vs. a prime Arguello. - Jason
There are many different opinions. I guess.... it depends on who you like..... These are some of the opinions I have read..... .... Sanchez was the best FW of my era. .... Sanchez was so good....but unfortunately died so young .... AA great boxer, good counter..... but he was too slow.... etc. etc,. I like both....I think they both deserve it..... My only concern is that some people think that SS is above many without proving it. Did he fight at 130?
wasn't there a thread on this like a short while ago? My money is on Arguello, even though I love Sanchez.
Sal Sanchez was much more spry and fleet than the harder single punching Al Arguello ever was..... Sanchez easily would've become a solid 135 pounder by 1985 had he lived on.... In my opinion, the slower Arguello's best chance against a tall dude like Sanchez at 130 pounds would be if he got lucky and landed a pair of right hand bombs and Sanchez didn't respond well to the blows, or otherwise I see a long night of Arguello getting out-boxed by the much more spry Sanchez.....
