I picked Sanchez, but it's close and could have gone either way. Both had styles that would trouble the other.
They'd absolutely run one another close every time they fought. Probably wins up with a 2-1 split in a three fight series. I'd pick Pedroza to win...barely...in a one-off, but I wouldn't bet a whole lot on that outcome.
Salvador Sanchez by points in a very tactical fight, Eusebio Pedroza is slick and a dirty fighter when the going gets rough but Salvador had a better resume as champion, can't judge the outcome by comparing battles of opponents against each. Styles make fights. I see them fighting once, then possibly Sanchez moves up to 130 lbs to fight bigger competition, this is not the 1940's in the age of the trilogies. Sanchez was calm cool and collected in the ring, he never displayed frustration, Pedroza has before, answering with a rabbit punch, low blow or backhand. But in all sincerity, this thread has been overdone many many times, it could resemble a charred steak.
I believe we had a formal debate on this subject about a thousand years ago or something. Remember that?
I remember it very well, Sal. Thin you edged it. Deservedly so. Always a fun debate, though. Good times for sure.
