Sanchez was one of the most technically precise boxers ever, no wasted punches, good defense and a good punch.
    I wanna say
Salvador Sanchez by unanimous decision. I feel that Salvador has that little something that Julio doesn't have, he is less predictable I think...

    BUT Let's discuss :bbb

This would have been an epic, back and forth, colossal war between Mexican versions of Ali-Frazier..... can't decide the winner as yet..

If Sanchez had not died, there is a good chance these two would have met at 130 lbs assuming Sanchez didn't skip the 130 lb. division. If they'd fought say in 1984 I think Sanchez would win a decision.

if they'd fought prime to prime I think it could go either way.

Depends which 130-pound version of Chavez we see. If it's the animal that chewed up Mario Martinez and chopped down Ruben Castillo then it's a tough fight. Sanchez should be able to to hold five extra pounds, but you just never know. It's a lot to assume. One thing working in his favor is that he looked good against aggressive fighters. He wasn't going to dent that chin of Julio's, but he might frustrate him.
