If Erik Morales could beat Manny at SFW I reckon Sanchez could also do it.

Maybe you should watch some of Sanchez's fights, the footage is very good, it's hardly like watching Jeffries v Sharkey which was filmed using a cigarette box.

^^ I admire Sanchez just like all of ya but he's overrated.. Legends die young and he's overrated cuz of it. He beat a green Nelson, a natural junior Featherweight in Gomez, and Lil red Lopez who's no ATG.. He's never fought anyone like PAcman.

Considering Sanchez was a bantam champ before moving up to feather the Gomez was smaller argument doesn't wash.

Sanchez was dead at 23 and Azumah Nelson was 24 when they fought so that argument ain't that strong either.

He beat Lopez twice and throw in Laporte and your talking about an all time great fighter ranking between Top 10-15 at feather and he only made it to 23 years of age. Sanchez was special. Watch his body punching.......its awesome.

Manny was nowhere near Sanchez when he was 23. Had Chava lived longer you could be looking at a top 3 feather of all time.

Manny's achievements are as a weight jumper over 10 plus years. You can't compare Manny's record over 15 years as opposed to Sanchez's 6 years and say Manny faced better opponents. You have to use judgement.

As I said look at Morales or the two losses Manny should have had to Marquez and it's very feasible Sanchez could have won.

At 126, Sanchez by wide UD. JMM gave Manny lots of hell, now imagine what a stronger, faster, harder chinned, and more skilled Sal would do.

he might be able to fight manny to a draw and lose a close one on the cards. that would match jmm feats.

Sanchez wins this, outboxing the still limited Pacquiao to a 10 - 5 sort of decision. Chavas iron chin also rules out a knockout for the Pacman I think, Sanchez was an incredible ring general with wonderful footwork there are few i'd pick over him at 126

:nono:nono Slow your Roll Finito:nono More like Pac never fought anyone like Sanchez, closest guy he fought to him was Marquez and Pac was lucky to get the decision in those fights, and let me add that Sanchez had a granite chin and would have NEVER gone down against Pac the way Marquez did. IM not one to automatically go with the old timers but im telling you id bet the ranch on Sanchez he is all wrong for Pac. Nelson was still hungry as hell and prove to be a great fighter,he wasnt that green. And as for GOmez dont give me that **** about being a jF . ****ing Barrera,Morales and Pac himself were all JFs and look how great they were when they moved up, dont forget Gomez was the favorite and thought of as arguably the best PFP at the time when you had guys like Leonard,Hagelr,Hearns,Duran fighting. Lil Red Lopez was a border line ATG but you know what? He was one of the biggest punchers in the history of Boxing!! And Sanchez walked thru his best bombs.

If a past it Morales(1st fight) and Marquez could outbox Pac. You better best believe Sanchez would have put a clinic on. Sanchez aint going down either Lopez,Nelson,Gomez all either hit harder or close to as hard as Pac. So dont start thinking Pac has a chance at a Ko here, and he certainly couldnt outbox Sanchez.:nono

Hey Newb, do you really think Sanchez was only a top 10-15 Fw:huh:patsch yOu say he could have been top 3? He was a top3 despite dying at ayoung age he had some big names on his resume and Hth YOU WOULD BE HARD PRESSED TO PICK ANY ONE AGAINST HIM., Only ones you could possibly put above him are Pep and Sadler. Everyone else bow down to Chava.

Well that depends on three things.

1.) What kind of socks PacMan would use.

2.) What kind of gloves PacMan would use.

    3.) Is blood testing mandatory?

One of the best counterpunchers/featherweights of modern days versus a guy that gets lit up by counterpunchers?

you dont have to be an old school romanticizer or any other stupid bull**** to know this fight is terrible for the pac who fought at FW

  14. That's a solid argument right there, brother. It makes that other guy's reasoning look like chicken scrap.

Don't get me wrong I think Sanchez was a true great. I think his death robbed us of a career that had unlimited potential. Based on a very short career with some great wins I have him at No.10 in my ATG list.

I have no problem if people want to place Sanchez anywhere between 6 and 10 but I don't think he breaks the Top 5.

My featherweight ATG Top 10 is below.
