This is an all time classic match up between two of the greatest mexican fighters in history and a dream fight that any boxing fan would have loved to have seen. These guys are two of my favourite fighters so I don't like having to pick against any of them but my pick is.

Salvador Sanchez By 15 Rd Dec

Sanchez would break Barrera easily in about the 7 or 9 RD

Barrera wound would be more than willing to exchange. But would be hard pressed to defeat Salvador in this type of war. Sanchez would counter beautifully & deliver his own stinging punches. But Marco is more than capable enough to last the distance in this one. Sanchez 15 UD.

I think Sanchez is a little too smooth & accurate a counterpuncher for Barrera, Marco would keep this very close for about 9 or 10 rds, landing his own excellent precision combinations but he`d pay almost as bad himself taking counters when in attack but I believe Sanchez could attack & score without taking as many in return, this would likely frustrate Marco who isnt the best when things arent going his way.

By the time rds 12 & 13 arrive, MAB will be turning desperate brawler mode & Sanchez will be able to land those clean shots with a little more behind them, drawing Marco in by using his excellent feet, side to side, in & out, I think he catches Marco & unleashes on him about rd 13 or 14 were the ref will step in & split them up awarding Sal a TKO - thats if MABs corner arent quick off the mark to jump in the try get their man DQ`d ;)

Sanchez by TKO very late on or possible clear UD.

I am big fans of both guys. I see this as a pretty close fight for the first 10 then sanchez picks it up and puts in on Barrera pretty good but Barreras excellent chin and great fighting spirit keeps him from getting stopped I see Sanchez winning a unanamous decision by 145-142 145-141 145-141. Sanchez was an above average puncher but I dont think hed knock out Barrera.

Sanchez by a comfortable 15 round decision, scoring with super accurate jabs and rights, hell, EVERYTHING...and shows that as great as MAB was, he was better in evry department, most significantly, chinwise. A late rounds stoppage would not be out of the question either. For the record, Sanchez would do the same to Hamed, Morales and Pac as well, but those are stories for a different day.

I agree Sanchez on his best form beats all of them at 126 lbs, Morales & Barrera would be the toughest fights tho as they have higher level boxing skills than Hamed or Pacquiao, those guys would get tagged left, right & centre before being stopped.
Morales would hear the final bell no doubt, I give MAB a 50/50 chance of lasting the distance in a 15 round bout, he`d survive 12 I think.

I would say a UD for Sanchez with the possibility of a late stoppage as its a 15 rounder. It would definitely be a war. I just see Sanchez being the quicker fighter, with better foot movement and I think that will make the difference. A fight with Morales would be a bit closer but IMO Sanchez is the best featherweight off all time. Hamed would go the same way as Danny Lopez.

A Sanchez-Hamed fight would go the way of Sanchez-Gomez, IMHO.

I'd take Sancez by decision or late stoppage. It might be competitive for part of the way, but Sanchez would be in command by the end.
