12 rounds, both in their primes, who wins? I think Sanchez would win by mid to late stoppage. His chin would be good enough to take Hamed's best punches.
I'd like to kindly overrule your scheduled distance of 12 rounds for this one in favor of the REAL championship distance, the 15 round limit, and for that I go with my man Salvador Sanchez over Prince Nassem Hamed by a late rounds tko, 10th or 11th round.
Very true. Hammed had some natural skills but he was way overhyped. Salvador was perhaps the best fighter in my lifetime....certainly top three. He was an uncommon once in a lifetime talent....great boxer puncher who never seemed in any sort of trouble in the ring....as cool and calculating as any fighter in boxing history.
Hamed's only threat here, his power, would be nonexistent against the iron chin of Sanchez, who took shots of an even more powerful puncher in Danny Lopez. Chava completely wrecks Naz.
Hamed has actually become pretty UNDERRATED over the years. He was a damn good fighter, with unique talent, and straight up SCARY power. Having said that, he'd be way out his depth here. Sanchez schools him, batters him, then stops him. In that order.
Well you can thankfully keep your lunch down in this fantasy match. Now, if someone were to propose Dwight Muhammad Qawi vs. Julio Cesar Gonzalez, you might need a paper bag. :barf
