Did anybody here follow Salvador Sanchez during his career? I always hear alot about him and i mean he was obviously good from the fights i have seen of him but i mean what was he like? Always wondered about him he is talked with such regard and he died very you i believe it was 24 or sumthing right. There is no way he was prime yet.
this is bad style matchup for Pac,Pac was very raw and very predictable at that weight and against a masterfull boxer like Sanchez who would make him pay for his mistakes all night with his precise punches it would be a disaster. even if Pac landed a straight left once in a while it wouldnt make a diference cause Sanchez had a great chin,he took the best punches of Gomez and specially Danny Lopez and he didnt even blink,so if those guys didnt hurt him theres no way Pac would. i see Pac receiving the same treatment that Gomez got from Sanchez but i think Pac lasts longer,probably getting stopped at around the 13th round.
Yes I did. Born 1959 - died 1982, He was 23. He started his career as a bantam weight . . . where he also suffered his first and only career lost when he fought his first championship fight against Antonio Beccera. After a few more fights he went up to the Featherweight Division where he won his first title against Little Red Lopez. He's got 65.5 KO percentage at the time of his demise. He died too early and based on his age . . . he should be just starting to prime up at that point.
I've always thought that if you want to put Pacman up against past champions, why not put him against the guy in my avatar? A slightly green Pac vs a prime Little Red = a ****ing war we would never forget.
it's all good. i'll pick sanchez at 126. of course will never count pac out. but 130, we don't know if sanchez could carry the weight.
Pacquiao had a serious problem with Marquez's counter punching, and Sanchez is a better counter puncher than Marquez.
You can find alot of his fights posted on youtube. Very talented and accomplished so much for such a young age. IMO would have been one of the greatest of all time, too bad he died so young.:? My honest opinion he would have beaten the pacman, but who knows.
he is rumored to fight arguello at 130 before he died. a lot of people here in ESB picks him over arguello in the polls. arguello is a beast at 130, could he possibly beat him?
Pac's hand speed and seemingly never ending stamina would make the 1st half of the fight very interesting but Sanchez would punish Pac with hard accurate counters and stopping him middle or later rounds. There's no doubt Sanchez died very young he accomplished so much in a very short amount of time you can only wonder.........Sanchez vs Arguello , Sanchez vs Julio Cesar Chavez, Sanchez vs Gomez II...............
