This is the guy that everyone was saying Zelfa Barrett ducked because he refused to fight he for some vacant title

He does look decent

 

Sam has only beaten one guy with a winning record though?
Yes he's a top prospect though

 

Was for English title and was told doubled to a British eliminator. Barrett withdrew. Bowen has had trouble being matched. His now at purse bids to fight jupp for English.
Barrett tops a bill soon in first 10 rounder no opponent named as yet.

 

Ive seen carl greave having a go at lyon woodstock saying that bowen would destroy him easily.

Fact is paul holt (woodstocks last opponent) is far better than anyone bowens faced. Talks cheap.

 

Yeah i saw that. But Holt was also stripped of midlands title for not facing bowen. That's why it was for vacant title even tho Holt won it in his last fight. ( wen I spoke to Holt he didn't know that fight had been ordered) I think Greaves was just frustrated he can't seem to get his lad matched to step up his career

 

Yeah it is bizzare Barrett hasnt fought anybody with a winning record in what will be 17 fights by the end of the month

Im not sure Bowen would be able to beat him though, Zelfa is very skilled

As said though havent seen him in any sort of competitive fight yet because of the low skilled opposition he chooses to fight. Im excited to see how he deals with a strong skilled fighter who is there to take the win

 

Bowen was beat by tetley at least twice in the ams but you havnt put that up!
Theres no doubting hes one to watch and i do like him but carl greaves is his greatest supporter and thats who raves about him most.
Theres others coming through at 130 who are good as well. Zelfa as has been mentioned is one, cacace another and one or two more.
Theres some good fights to be made at sfw in the near future. It sure will be interesting watching the cream rise.

Pat Barret has said he wants to give zelfa about 20 learning fights before they start stepping up. This is because of his lack of am experience.

What is he learning by knocking over journey men that he severely outmatches though ?

Hes had like 40 amateur fights has he not ? Not like hes had less than 10 ammy fights and turned pro on a whim
