fight is on for October 17th as per Eddie's twitter.. Shame about Gavin not trying Light Welter but this is a good fight and I still pick Frankie possibly by stoppage, too classy and elusive.

Intriguing fight but a huge risk for Gavin.

So is it on then? Officially?

Just checked - Battle of Brum [cringe]:
    Gavin vs Eggington,
    Yafai v Cunningham,
    Macklin v Welborn,
October 17th confirmed... Good fight between Frankie and Sam, looking forward to it.

from what I've heard Gamal Yafai should also be fighting for a title on the bill, nothing official as of yet though. Be interesting to see if he can add even more to the thriving British Super Bantam scene

Eggington takes this for me. He's really impressed me lately and I think Gavin's confidence has taken a hit. Good step up for him though for sure.

Even if Eggington loses, he's still like 21 isn't he? Could really make some strides

But to be fair.. if he's a worthy challenger for the lonsdale then you gotta take the fights.

Just like it could have been anyone of the Cubans to beat you.. it could have been anyone of the Brits @ 147 with an ABC that doesn't belong to Floyd Mayweather.

It is about levels.. Brook is overrated in the cream sense.

I like Eggington and I'm rooting for him. He's still young and has really improved.
He has already taken a couple 'zeroes'. If he wins this he will take Gavin's soul.

It's rare to do Chris Byrd downwards.. people usually go up in weight..

That's why Tony Bellew is getting better.

Eggington wins, I'm actually leaning towards a decision.
