Where does he go from here?

I had Mimoune winning by three rounds. Really poor to see Sam make no adjustment whatsoever to avoid that southpaw right hook when it was so obvious every time. Sure there was no venom on them and they were basically slap hooks but they were scoring shots and it was dreadful from a Euro Champ. Eggington definitely underperformed, he was far better against Gavin and Malignaggi.

Mimoune is not that good. For context he lost to Lepelley who was KO'd by Skeete last year. Where does Sam go now? All talk of a world title shot has totally gone out the window and it was far fetched before the fight anyway. He had no chance at WW, the best chance would be against someone like Horn.

I fear for his health, at 23 he ships so many head punches in every single fight. He has probably peaked and will be on a downward spiral from next year IMO his style of boxing is just unsustainable. He won't have a career after 30 if he keeps this up.

He has accomplished alot in his career for been so basic but any good British and Euro level fight will work him out easy I think his best bet is a Gavin rematch it will sell in Birmingham And he should beat Gavin again because Gavin is a fat waste and then maby have another shot a the European but we know the hearn plan fight trash and washed up fighters and tell all the matchroom fans his a new fighter and his back

He’s still learning on the job but i think he’s starting to look very drained at WW. He was gone by the 8th, he was just slapping with his shots. I thought he was gonna come out with the kitchen sink in the 12th after that shellacking off his corner but there was nothing left.

He needs to go up to 154ib and try and win a British title.

Hearn trying to hype him up saying he was going for the top guys in America, at least that's one hype train stopped for now.

Sam is an overachiever and that is amazing his tenacity and toughness has taken him a long way good on him.maybe a move to 154 might extend his career but I don't see him making an impact at World level might get to British but even that's a big call a bit short of the skills and takes too many shots.

    I thought he was dreadful.
The amount of times he got within range and didn't unload a single punch at all was unbelievable.
His opponent who was basically a decent mover and couldn't crack an egg was simply allowed to pitter patter his way to a comfortable victory.
If the kid keeps on performing like this he's going to be in big trouble against a puncher.

Very disappointed in him last night. Don't know what happened, seemed to start believing his own hype maybe or just underestimated this guy. Barry Hearn telling him he's great doesn't help either. Eggington is at his level now, European is the best he'll ever achieve.

Most of his success was based on his size at the weight, he will be less effective up a weight but it may be his only option now.

He's achieved a lot considering his skill set, nothing wrong with European level.
