Sam Jones, who is this guy & how did he get into boxing???

I'm sure he was just an auctioneer or something along those lines but he had contacts within boxing mainly off being a close follower of the sport. He made introduction of Savannah Marshall to Mayweather productions which essentially got her on the Mayweather vs McGregor undercard. He knew Joe Joyce from outside of boxing and he has been his ticket to being a relatively successful/ well known manager. The other founder of S-Jam though used to be David Haye's manager.

I think he's raising his profile by getting involved in arguments mainly with Joyce's opponents and notably Billy Nelson.

That is just my interpretation though so don't take it as gospel.

 

I never heard of him until that recent vid blasting Nelson either..it's the way to get coverage for unknown folk that crave attention isn't it, have a go at someone and post a vid of it and cross your fingers for the attention craved.. rollseyes!!!

Id never heard of him till Joyce turned over. Seems like he likes the microphones to be in front of him which is fair enough if it gets him a few clients. Personally dont care for anything he has to say

Isn't this the bloke who thought Joshua had failed a test because boxrec had him "suspended". Absolutely clueless which means he'll probably do well.

 

I was ready to write him off as he does come across as nervous and too eager, but there are snippets here and there that show he knows a bit. He was mentioning Otto Wallin in a May video as a potential for AJ and there weren't too many people with that name on their tongue - and now he's Fury's next bum.

 

I only just learned that Otto Wallin is/was one of AJ’s main sparring partners. Obviously means nothing but I expect this to be thrown about a bit to try and give him some credibility.

 

Sadly it seems for a lot of people if you want to get pretty far in life and do well you also have to be a bit of a dick
