sam kynoch of kynoch boxing and formerly of mtk scotland has been getting it tight on twitter from ex boxer tommy phillbin and someone called chris glover basically they are calling him a rat, a white collar promoter and a thief. billy nelson has also slated him over one of sams fighters being 5lb over the weight to fight ryan collinsat weekend i know mtk status was taken off him but anyone know why? if these allegations are true then should the boxing board look into them? worth a look if you are on twitter anyone on here dealt with sam and know if this is a true reflection or just an upset ex fighter that sam didn't want to sign after the split from mtk
I do not know anything about this other than what I read in the tweets. I do think in general the BBBofC are a disgrace when it comes to licensing promoters who don't pay and treat their fighters correctly. A promoter should be personally liable for the purses so he doesnt get away with not paying fighters by closing down his limited company.
I never slated Sam, I said it’s totally unprofessional for a boxer to be 5lbs overweight at a weighin and at least a stone heavier on the night and try and get praise for it, If I were Ryan’s manager no way would the fight went ahead, Ryan made the weight through working hard and dieting and it appears his opponent couldn’t be bothered or maybe he simply doesn’t know how to do weight
sounds like he is being slated for taking £10 which was owed in? made to sound bad but if a boxer if being paid they expect to be paid what it is owed to them so if they got £10 less they would ask for it lol
One of my mates is actually one that is with kynock boxing now and he speaks very highly of sam - I think this is sour grapes from a boxer because on my count 20+ left mtk when sam did which doesnt suggest he is disliked.
