UN - PROPOSE?:huh I made an honest mistake which I admitted to. You made a mistake in claiming to see something that does not exist. Then, when called on it, attempted to lie your way out of it. And you are still lying today. Spot the difference?:think
He PM'd me and said Ted Spoon is the person saying he has it. My ass. If Ted Spoon, who is on here regularly, has it then let him assert that lie himself. I'm willing to put my money where my mouth is. If Ted or Mendoza can back up such a ridiculous claim then they can do it risk free and cash in on it in the process. Ive spent two decades plus researching fight films, lost films, collecting, networking with archives, collectors, and media outlets literally all over the world. I have one of the largest, if not THE largest collections of rare fight films in the world. Im not bragging Im just trying to give an indication that I know what Im talking about. I do this every day, Im good at it, and anyone familiar with my collection or who has been here to see it can attest to that. Is it possible that some young guy who used to refer to himself in the third person flew under the radar and subverted the entire process of finding such a film to the point that only one person (a proven liar in Mendoza) heard of such a discovery. Yeah, its possible, but extremely unlikely. The odds are almost zero. Id love to be wrong and Im willing to put up cold hard cash to be wrong but Im guessing if Ted even acknowledges this thread it will be to deny that he has the film and Mendoza will go on claiming hes seen it. It would be easy enough to verify, even from stills and stills wouldnt devalue the film like posting it on Youtube would. Its safe and easy but it wont happen because neither one of them have the film or have seen. Thats what Im betting anyway.
To answer you question and prove I saw it Hague landed a wild swinging like right hand and Langford went down. Langford got up a bit shaky. I think it was either round two or three. In round four ( final KO round ) Langford crushed Hague with a right to the chin. Hague went down in a corner and was counted out. The film is pretty clear.
Out of curiosity many UK or Aussie based collectors do you know? I keep PM's to myself, you can list names here if you choose. Might there be a few people out there who won't trade with you for whatever reason? Yes or no? Have you not been given films and told not to reveal whom you purchased or traded them with to obtain them? Yes or no? Posting video or photos would be a violation of trust. Are you bidding on Fusco's collection? We'll see how honest you are based on the details of your replies. I asked a few easy questions to answer. PS: I know some people that said if a Greb fight emerges you'll never see it. And no I'm not talking about Kurt N. You have a way of rubbing people the wrong way, which ironically enough seems to be a characteristic shared with some other film collectors. I view you pragmatically for the most part, except when you call me or someone else a liar with no proof.
Look, I'm a busy person and do not use a spell check here. Some errors are typos. You make your share of errors too. But at least I know who I am watching. Yes, you will admit a mistake but only when you are called out and have not a leg to stand on.
Put your money where your mouth is. Thats all I care about. Idle threats about nameless imaginary collectors dont scare me.
Nice duck of four questions! Come one Steve, can you at least answer them? Out of curiosity many UK or Aussie based collectors do you know? I keep PM's to myself, you can list names here if you choose. Might there be a few people out there who won't trade with you for whatever reason? Yes or no? Have you not been given films and told not to reveal whom you purchased or traded them with to obtain them? Yes or no? Are you bidding on Fusco's collection? You mentioned before you not going to show what you own in many cases. If someone gave or trade with me and said do not show or trade, I honor it. Good luck with Mr. Spoon, and once you confirm the fight, you might want to say you were wrong. See you here on monday.
Im still waiting. Ive been waiting for a long time. Anyone who wants to claim a lot of money from me can do so very easily risk free. They wont and neither will you because you cant. That is the only thing germaine to the discussion. None of your other questions are relevant or of any concern to you or even me. If you or anyone else doubts me you are more than welcome to come and view anything in my collection. You wouldnt be the first to sit for a weekend doing nothing but watching boxing footage youve never seen anywhere else and never will. Those that have can back me up.
Langford almost turned a cartwheel from Hague's punch strange you did not mention that.:think I don't believe you ,you are a proven liar.
And for the record my friends name was Tony FOSCO, not Fusco. Get it right. He was a good guy and did a lot for the preservation of boxing history. His name deserves to be remembered correctly.
I would understand Mendoza saying about the breach of trust and what not. What I don't understand is how such footage could exist without Klompton being aware of it. Raging bull would have surely heard about it also?
Buying rare footage isn't something particularly exciting to me so I've never had to deal with these matters. I do enjoy seeing a great in his prime though which is why this caught my eye. Like you say, it would certainly be a verifiable fight by a plethora of sources who maybe not seeing it, would know it was out there.
