I agree that Evander was likely a big time steroid user when he bulked up to Heavyweight. But, he was still an awfully tough, fit, and skilled mother ****er at Cruiserweight.

Langford and wills both claimed to have fought each other 22 times but boxing historians have only found proof of 18 meetings

I believe they fought 22 times

I also believe there are many other bouts that do not appear on Langford’s record

Interesting hearing all these comments about Holyfield's weight ,some saying the added poundage helped him ,some saying the opposite. DonTurner, whom a couple on here think is a great trainer, stated Holyfield's added weight was a detriment and a disadvantage to him.

Didn't he need it to compete in the modern HW division? In years past, Holyfield at 187-190 lbs would have been a bonafide heavyweight, but could he have survived the likes of Tyson, Lewis, Bowe, old Foreman etc weighing 187-190 lbs?

What did he say exactly? The extra muscle will have helped him not get ragdolled, pushed back, pushed off balance etc and it will put more weight behind your punches. But you'll be less mobile

To be fair, Charles, Moore and Walcott were all technically superior to Marciano.

Yes but Marciano had better stamina than those guys. Holyfield probably had better stamina than Marciano during this period of his career

Go and watch his cruserweight fights, his stamina and workrate were immense. His style is also more physically demanding than Marciano's because of his high guard and fleet footed footwork

Evander had great stamina,he was a great athlete. But he did not have more stamina than Marciano. I doubt that any boxer had more stamina than Marciano
