Foreman I believe was beatable by a select group of Lt heavyweights...conn and Charles I would favor and perhaps one or two other skilled fiesty beefed up Lt heavyweights perhaps...Langford would be interesting cause he did take out wills and green Norfolk and Godfrey...Langford was mentally as tough and driven as they come and may have figured out some stalling tactics to take foreman to deep waters..foreman certainly favored but you never know with langford

I wouldn't favour any lhvy to beat Foreman, he cut off the ring too well for Conn to outbox him for a distance win and Charles would be cornered and ko'd too.I don't know what taking Foreman into "deep waters "would achieve" except an opportunity for him to inflict more punishment .
Most hwts and certainly most all light hwts would not be able to withstand Foremans all out assault the first five rounds. The Foreman who fought Ali in 1974 would beat most all aside from the very elite ATG and perhaps durable tricky hwt boxers. The exceptions would be fighters such as Ali, Louis, Holmes, Johnson, Tunney and perhaps Dempsey. Tricky hwt boxers such as Young always have a chance of outpointing a huge puncher such as George. However I would not bet against prime Foreman vs Young.
I still would slightly favor a conn or Charles over foreman and not be surprised if Langford took him out.... I've seen young foreman workout and yes he was beatable
And if you look out your window tomorrow night you may see the sled fly over! No way in hell does ANY lightheavyweight hold Foreman off long enough for him to gass. Be very interested to see your top 10 heavyweights.
What separates Langford from other great light heavyweights such as Conn, Charles, or Moore, is that he actually had the firepower to be dangerous to a fighter like Foreman. Foreman's concerns do not end at letting Langford get away, and tiring himself out. Langford is going to be setting traps for him, and if he walks into one he is going to get checked.
I don't know about Langford setting any traps, i reckon he will be just attempting to stay the hell alive. Get real here, Foreman has 6 inches in height and best part of 3 stone advantage and knew how to cut off the ring as good as anyone. In all likelyhood, George finds Sams chin first, hell even a sideswipe has Langford off balance. No matter how great Langford was p4p, '73 Foreman destroys him.
I assume you think that Wlads chin is on Foremans level then, along with his willingness to engage in a firefight? Nonsense.
