the great sam in his prime i believe would punish tua in a long, great exibition of boxing skill.the glove blocking, feinting, judging of distance is almost a lost art of the past.sam would frustrate and cut tua to peices winning by late ko especially if its over 12 rounds,or a dec..but the powerfull puncher tua was he would always stand a punchers chance to get lucky and catch sam for a ko i say a 65% chance sam wins this one
Don't think for a second that if the Tua that fought Ike showed up it would not be a huge challange for the much smaller, lighter Langford .... That Tua could go all night, hit like a tank and had an iron chin ... I'll mull this one over ..
If Byd could outpoint him I think Langford could but he's got to be carefull....Dave can take you outa there from 1-12
very good fight.......i favor sam slightly by close decision but i agree with bummy about tuas remarkable late power. it all depends on if sam decides to employ a more defensive strategy vs a slugfest(which would favor tua) I feel tua is one of the biggest underachievers of this era, he had picked up a alpha belt in the weakest era in heavyweight history despite demolishing 3 future heavyweight champs ruiz, maskaev, rahman. bad luck for david. I also feel tua would have absolutley wrecked wladimir klitschko in under 5 rounds. but tua vs super southpaw freak of nature corrie sanders? well tua doesnt stand a chance
This is the thing about David Tua, not a particularly great fighter and never has been, but he ranks very highly H2H purely because of his power and chin. I take Langford to box pretty cautiously compared to normal though, and probably hurt Tua on the way to a decision. Though I think Tua would probably drop him along the way.
Tua wins.....Langford was a fine fighter but he never faced a fighter with the with the physical attributes that Tua has. Anything can happen but I'd make David the favorite.
