I consider him the finest fighter that Nz and the Pacific has ever produced, the man in his prime was awesome to watch. He smashes this tiny Langford guy out in a round.

Not saying who I prefer here, but Langford by many is considered the finest fighter that the whole Earth has ever produced.

I don't even think he should clearly rank ahead of Dan Creedon P4P

Tua would blast Sam out in 1-3 rounds, he has never faced anyone like this and he was not a true HW, I just don't understand all this love for Langford, he could not even dominate the other great black fighters of his time, how does he dominate the ATG's at HW as many believe, he was just too small to challenge these modern HW's and not quite good enough to be the others, like Dempsey, they never fought, but Dempsey eventually catches him and wipes the ring with him, Sam was considered great because he was good from LW - HW not the best at any of them, and he does not dominate at any weight. Especially he does not domi nate at a weight that was not his true weight, it's crazy to think so, I even give guys that were not ATG's a shot to beat him, Ron Lyle would give him a helluva bout, Earnie Shavers, Tommy Morrison, Ray Mercer, Mike Weaver, Riddick Bowe, Floyd Patterson, Max Schmeling, both Klitchko's, Jerry Quarry, Ken Norton, Tim Witherspoon, Pinlon Thomas, Cleveland Williams, Zora Folley, these guys are generally not considered the top 10 of their division, but all had a great shot to beat a 5'6 langford. everyone always makes excuses for him, for a guy they really know very little about how good he was, they always say, well he was blind in most of his bouts with Wills, well then he should not have been fightingt him, he was past his prime with this guy or that one, he was this or that, it's always an excuse, to me if you have to make excuses there is good reason for it, then that fighter is not that great afterall. everyone loves to hang their hat on the fact he beat one of the top 5 LW's ever in Joe gans, not me, Gans fought the night before, he had flu like symptoms, then got on a train and road it for hours, arrived, prepared for Langford, then they fought that day, and by every account i can find, Gans won all the early rounds easily, and then just gave out due to his illness, thosee are facts, no one can do much of anything let alone fight when they are in under those conidtions, so I believe Gans wins that fight if both are healthy and rested, and wins it easily. So I actually count that fight against sam not for him, Tua has a great shot to hurt him and hit him harder than he has ever been hit, he would probably be overwhelmed by most of these guys.
stop sniffing his jockstrap so hard and let it go, Sam is not an ATG HW, he was a very good one, and VG at several weights, maybe top 10 MW, CW if you want to add him, but top 20 only at Hw.
