Lanford probably whups them all except for Ray Robinson and Marvin Hagler. A Langford match against these two would probably go either way because they're the only fighters that have enough skill to challenge Langford.

Langford's speed and foot movement would frustrate Monzon and he wouldn't let Carlos tie his arms up reflective of his success in the 1970's. Hopkins would present to him a tactical boxing match but would probably lose a close decision. What sets Langford apart from many middleweight fighters is his speed and pure power. It was routine for him in his era to take on and defeat bigger fighters.

As great or at least very good (Pavlik, Abraham) the guys on this list were and are, none of them would have beaten Langford. Some may have even been stopped inside the distance (Abraham and Pavlik). Think of Langford as a mini Mike Tyson when Tyson was at his best.

Mostly it's just that Abraham and Pavlik aren't as proven as the other fighters on the list. Plus Pavlik was nearly KO'd by Jermain Taylor, so I don't like his chances against Langford.

I would have Langford beating them all.

A undefeated young 6'3 freak of nature middleweight champion who has already demonstrated heart of a lion, yet you have him lasting only "one" round vs sam? you got to be freakin kidding.

He was almost KO'd by Jermain Taylor. Sam Langford is one of the hardest punchers in middleweight history, in my opinion the P4P greatest fighter of all time, not to mention one of the greatest finishers of all time. Alright, I'll give Pavlik the benefit of the doubt. Langford-KO 2
