Jesus Peter Paul and Mary people is it really that hard to use YouTube.

Edit: In fact let me say what is going to happen. One or maybe both of you will look him up. You'll see one of his fights or maybe watch a highlight and then come back and say he was a primitive and unfit to share the ring with modern fighters.

if you don't want to go for size shut the fark up

don't go blame it on ESB as if you are being forced you coward

    what a cop out dude,,,,

that's like saying, "the voices are making me stab people" for crying out loud,,,,if I wasn't a keyboard warrior I would track you down and beat the living **** out of you :smooch

Seriously, are you not capable of thinking for youself ???

Whats your point? Size doesn't matter or it does matter? Cant have it both ways, doesn't work both ways, hate to tell you, so make a choice, does it help or not? Are heavyweight champs getting bigger over the years or SMALLER?

Why do you think that is Mr Butt?

well the footage wasn't available a few years ago on youtube. There is a little bit now. And quite frankly I don't see much to write home about. The picture qualty sucks, its time lapsed and he doesn't look all that impressive to me.

To give you an idea of how he did against bigger men he fought Bill Tate 9 times, losing 4, winning 4 and Tying with him once.. So basically he broke even with a bigger guy and one who today would be journeyman level at best.. I just checked youtube and found footage of him fighting Jim Flynn. This footage wasn't available on youtube years ago so I missed it too. The picture quality was primitive and time lapsed. What I saw of Langford was a guy who came forward with his hands down.. Not a particularly good way to approach a dude who threw a dangerous left uppercut like Ruddock.

Fools that simply post ruddock walks straight through and such *******s are annoying . Personally I think it's a hard fight for both as ruddock has good power and his durability was also good in most fights . but as I say to simply suggest the "tiny terror" would get ko'd early is to dismissive .

And I am not necessarily among those who believe that would happen. But too little is known about Langford and his opponents from a hands on view. He might have beaten the crud out of Ruddock for all we know.

No plenty is known. Hell the Jeanette fight is great. It's over 20 minutes of very good footage.

Anyway I'd pick ruddock. He's enormous, has an underrated jab, and a great uppercut. If his chin holds up (and it should) it's Donovan all day long. Big guys with jabs were anathema to Langford, as were guys strong enough to keep him from working on the inside. Langford is the far better fighter but he wasn't the force at heavyweight that he was at the lower weights and while he could stop Ruddock he probably wouldn't.

That's called reality..the only fools on here are the ones who think a 5'7 former LHW who walked his opponents down with his hands down and bobbed and slipped punches against small average fighters would defeat a 6'3 235 pound giant with sharp skills and punching power that would decapitate little Sammy,Razor went 19 rounds with a vicious Tyson who hit him with everything yet you fools think this small guy with multiple draws and losses has a chance here...its even on you tube showing how out dated his skills are and here you are trying to make a case for him.

I'd personally lean toward ruddock here but not just on a size basis or a old vs modern like some and I certainly don't think it would be easy and I don't see this ending before the end of the 7th

Ruddock 6'3 230/235 vs Langford 5'6/5'7 140/175 pound fighter.....this fight cannot go past round 3,and that's being generous.I don't see how it makes it out of round one,Ruddocks vicious left would immediately connect and it would be lights out.Langford was able to gauge distance and have the better positioning b/c he trained to push guys off him and in his punch zone,he doesn't remotely do that with Ruddock, and even if he did would never reach him..ruddocks height and 83 inch reach makes this a biggest mismatch as they come.

So we have the same winner just a different amount of rounds and vision of langford's durability . Ruddock is not going to be looking to keep langford on the end of a jab so getting close enough to be inside and work away and grab at times as a savy old timer would not be an issue here from my view anyway . Would ruddock know he had been in a fight yes I think he would

There's quite a size difference but Ruddock wasn't the type to keep you at the end of a jab and Langford's ring generalship is in another stratosphere. Sam has a decent shot at a points victory if he times counters and stays alert.

Langford doesn't really interest me and as such I have no particular inclination to search him out on youtube.
