In their primes, at middleweight, 15 rounds, with modern rules in place.

I think Langford could get a late stoppage around 13 or 14, if not then a close decision. If there is a rematch, Robinson of course wins, by SD15. What do you guys think?

The weight stipulation favours Robinson, but not by much.

:huh Robinson's best weight is without a shadow of a doubt Welterweight.

I don't think Langford could win this one in all honesty. I'd expect Robinson to out box him comfortably early on, but am late charge may make it closemon the scorecards.

I think you may be right about Robinson early on. However Sam always has that heavyweights punch, and chin, plus he has a better defense (open glove blocking, parrying and slipping under Robinson's leads) than Robinson who relies on his great physical gifts (height and reach) for defense.

At welterweight, it is Robinsons fight to loose.

At Midleweight it is looking more even, but Langford is either pre prime, or killing himself to make the weight!

janitor, good point, i guess if Langford could come in at 165-167lbs, and if Robinson is comfortable at 160lbs, sort of like his fights with Lamatta (a natural Supermiddle) then it would fairer to both of them i suppose.

Don`t know because the footage of Langford is beyond dire, you can`t call a fight based on a fighters record (resume)
