    How would he do against-

    Max Schmeling

    Jack Sharkey

    Primo Carnera

    Max Baer

    Jimmy Braddock

Personaly I think he slaughters them all but I want to hear your opinions.

I think Schmeling would have a very good chance of beating him over 15 rounds. Close to a fity fifty fight. I don't really see that anyone else from this list could be made a favourite over him.

Sam langford 15 majority max schmeling- Langford was not an all assault aggresive brawler, he was a calculator. He would hold up his high gaurd and like roy jones slowly wait for the opening, not overcommiting himself ever. Schmeling with his lean back counterpunching style could draw this thing into a snoozefest with langford chasing but careful not to fall into one of schmelings traps. I see langford landing the more effective punches and outworking schmeling for the close but boring win

Langford TKO 10 Jack Sharkey- not a good matchup for sharkey. Langford tears him up at all ranges, sharkey loved to box at mid range and then switch grears and brawl, problem is he would be overmatched by langford at both areas. Langford gives sharkey a bad beating till the fight is stopped. Sharkey did much better against bigger taller fighters than short fighters. ...langford at 5'7 was as short as they get. Maybe I am selling jack sharkey short here, considering he did beat the hell out of jack dempsey for 6 rounds.

Sam Langford TKO 5 James Braddock - I think Braddock is underated, but he is still outclassed here. The durable braddock goes out on his sheild with the ref stepping in to prevent further punishment

Sam Langford KO 8 Primo Carnera- I like Sam in this one, he was a rare exception. he was capable of getting to those huge fighters and destroying them. He did so his whole career. Carnera was'nt immune to getting beat by sub 200lbers. Langford had herculean like strength and stamina for 185lb so carnera size wont have that much effect, and langfords too smart to let carnera beat him that way. Langford uses carnera as a punching bag.

Langford-Baer is a toss up if a peak baer shows up. personally I could easily see a foreman-type frazier fight happening with a baer win. but I could also see langford choosing to box, carefully choosing his spots eluding baers wide swings and countering with sharp hooks, frustrating baer into following off his game and langford takes over flooring baer multiple times before he quits on one knee similiar to louis fight. But if sam tries to brawl early or gets caught by one of baers haymakers, sam is in a boatload of trouble...facing a 5'7 185lb max baer's power is going to be devastating and his uppercut could be a key punch to this fight
