Both of these lads have more than solid backgrounds from amateur circuit, Team GB/England etc etc. Why on earth are they still having very low level fights? they've had 9 and 12 respectively. All their team mates, fowler, Joyce, cordina, okolie and buatsi have had the same or less amount of fights and are all having step ups whilst these two have pointless fights. Warren is the promoter of both, is it just a different approach to fighters careers he takes? I'm sure we will see both in tittle fights next year but why so long is my point.

Take a look at Yarde, Flanagan etc and see how their careers are built/being built.

not only the opposition is weak but frank doesn't promote these fighters that much. Lyndon Arthur is not even on his website. Frank has stepped up the game tweeting the past couple of weeks so maybe he has hired someone to do his dirty work

Warren didn’t promote Flanagan until the one before Martin Gethin fight.

His whole apprenticeship was done in small halls under Steve Wood. When he moved,he was moved fast.To British then final eliminator then vacant title and then he was headlining at the MEN.

Frank has done a great job by Terry.

All fighters are different.Arthur is with Pat Barrett is he? If so then his way of moulding a fighter is lots of 6 and 8 rounders before stepping up.Maxwell just hasn’t had a push yet,he will eventually.

Maxwell has mainly boxed on the undercard of Warren's bigger promotions, and as such, has been limited insofar as the television scheduling has meant, for example, that he's been limited to 6 rounders, when he could have been doing 8. He fights the Southern Area 140 lb champion on the 22nd December and I'd be surprised if he's not fighting for an international title by Spring 2019. Frank Warren does not make the matches, nor is he involved in the day to day running of Queensbury. Maxwell's starting to get more exposure from his promotional team, and personally, I far prefer to see a fighter learn his trade and come through on the rails, than the over-hyped shite that Matchroom frequently trots out for it's armchair 'fans'.

Neither are that young, about time they got a move on and stepped up.

Sam Maxwell has been calling out Ohara Davies lately, so he himself obviously believes he is ready.
