Agreed , he packs a punch and has a granite chin. Thats enough to beat 90-95 % of todays' heavyweights
Hm. Peter is the biggest hype job but people keep saying how Povetkin is the next coming, and hasnt even fought anyone worth note.. Honestly, he is mentioned way to much for just being a prospect..
I don't know what's up with the writing lately, but as shitty as it is, Prescott's are the only articles during this boxing dry spell that are getting over 200 posts (even if every one of them are telling him he's a dumb ass ). There really hasn't been any REAL good **** happening all through August and the writers are stuck trying to spice up and put spin on **** that ain't happenin for months. I noticed the other day all up and down the front page that only 2-3 articles had 200+ posts (prescott's and anything Calzaghe/Kessler). It will all be better once the big fights start rollin in.:good
MexicanJew- Miguel Valasco was a real riot! That dude got hammered everytime. He also said that Andrade was gonna show Kessler what's up.
I think the writer is 100% correct when he says that Peter doesn't deserve a title shot for only beating Toney, who should've been nowhere near a title shot himself. Most people had Toney either winning the first fight or they saw it as close maybe a draw. That's why the WBC made them do it over again. Neither Toney nor Peter should've had an eliminator because they beat nothing but weak competition for their shots in the first place & Chagaev would beat him fairly easily IMO. The rest is only speculation & I doubt that Peter would lose to all of them but it's not certain he would beat any of them either. Let's see how well he does against Maskaev before judging m'kay?! :thumbsup
Let's be fair here: The WBC said "this is what you need to do to get a title shot." Peter did it and had to do it again. He trained hard, showed improvement in his technical skills and earned his title shot again. He may not have beaten stellar opposition to get to this point, but he did what he had to do to earn his shot regardless. I'd say he's more worthy of a shot than Peter Okhello, Monte Barrett, and Ray Austin.
yeah the one about how tito is amazing and will demolish roy jones and all his acheivements by beating oscar:!:.
Oh you know he did. I'm pretty sure he had a streak of picking all the underdogs in an effort to look genius in the unlikely event it should turn out the way his magic 8-ball told him it would.
