Ahh yes....it seems every opponent Peter faces conveniently happens to "turn away" right when Peter clubs them in the back of the head. He'd never, ever do something like that on purpose. Maybe they just can't stand to look at that mug for more than a couple seconds at a time, or his breath smells like rhino ****.
If 2 fighter's are going toe 2 toe trading body shots...hypothetically speaking, say during the exchange one jumps up in the air... It's now his opponents fault if he lands a low blow, even though he jumped mid-punch right...???...:!: Don't give a fighter the back of your head, and it more than likely won't get punched...it's not a fighter's responsibility to pull punches, when you defend like a *****... ...otherwise everybody would turn around when the going gets tough...good refs give the DQ when a fighter keeps turning away, in recognition that he doesn't really want to fight.... ...but in the case of WLAD vs. Sam, the back of KLIT's head is practically a heat seeking missle searching out Peter's fist....:smoke
Wlad never turned away in the fight. Wlad would duck and Peter would go for the back of the head. Wlad never turned away from him one time in the fight. It was a complete domination by Wladimir. Why does everyone continue to discuss a one sided fight so much? Peter lost. Accept it and move on.
I'm used to guys fighting dirty and bending the rules and all, but rabbit punching bothers me. That's an extremely dangerous foul.
I don't think Peter intentionally is aiming for the back of heads, because if he were then he'd miss. Ha. Seriously, though, the natural arc of his punches has a roundabout effect that causes them to go wide. In the WK fight, Wladimir exacerbated that arc by ducking low and turning, causing the punches to club more directly on the back of his head. Peter should have gotten a warning, but so should Wladimir. The only occasion I can remember Peter fighting dirty was the ear-boxing he did in the first fight against Toney. And on that occasion, he correctly was docked a point.
clinching isn't illegal. Klitschko only clinched 83 times...it was a lot but less than half of what Ruiz has racked up in his hay day. Peter hit repeatedly to the back of the head, or rabbit punches vs a number of opponnents.
if anyone watched friday night fights on espn there was a discussion about wlad's jab/swat he used all night against sultan and if that was even a legal move.
The swat jab is perfectly legal. It's used to knock you opponent off balance so you can decapitate him more efficiently.
The fact that you need to use Ruiz, the undisputed champion of the two man tango, for your comparison shows how sorry KLIT is in this area... ...and holding is against the rules, refs are just a lot more tolerant of it right now for some reason. Just because they are insisting on clean fights less frequently, doesn't mean it's ok to hold all night...it's still pus and it's not boxing.
I'm under the impression it's illegal, since he's not using the part of the fist you are allowed to strike with when he does this technique...but I don't care, it makes him look stupid so I think they should allow him to continue it.
Let's have the rematch! This sounds alot like the clamoring that people had after the first Brewster fight. Wlad needs to really put the hurt on Pete because of his sub-par showing.
Same dumb ****s who support Waldo. No loss there. No Waldo didn't hold, or turn his back. **** he even wore a halo to the ring that the rest of us seemed to miss. Same sort of dummies who pride themselves on defending Mayweather for making smart business decisions over real fights.
