Hyping fighters has been going on forever. Wlad was highly hyped early on? Guess you hated him then? And it's hardly the FIGHTERS fault for the hype. You don't hate hype...you hate the fighter. At least be truthful.
It's not illegal. It automatically disqualify you, but I guess not too many people know about that rule. When you turn your back on your opponent the fight should be stopped.
I suggest you get your referee friend to review this 10 minute video of Wlad lunging in and grabbing Peter, locking his arm around Peters arm, wrapping the other arm around Peters kneck and leaning on his kneck and back. http://youtube.com/watch?v=R0sFZWczB9c I think you will find that those are not legitamate clinches but are illegal fouling tactics, its as wlad lunged in to iniate a hold and turned his head away that he got hit by Peter, it was Wlad who turned his back as he saw the punch coming and realised he couldnt fulfill his desired hold, technically Wlad could be stopped by the referee for turning his back on his opponent also.
Oh please Mr Righteous...............you have to be kidding. Wlad always showed great skills early on and he always took **** from keyboard warriors. There's nothing new here just because of a lackluster recent performance. He still dominated in a practical shutout did he not? Are the standards different for WK than other fighters?
All in all let me say I think Maskaev vs. Peter is a 50/50 fight. If Oleg had been active & not injured I would've given him the edge based on his recent winning streak and his 2 KO's vs. Rahman. I think Rahman is a better version of Peter. He has big power & a far better delivery & technique. Maskaev toughed out 2 fights with Rahman & won them both by highlight reel KO. That seems a bit better to me than Peter KOing Jeremy Williams.............
And yet, Wlad was very hyped, was he not? Hyped EVEN when he lost. Now, go hate him. Since you hate hyped fighters.
That's not the only reason I don't rate Peter that highly, no sir. He doesn't work his way in, he's very amateurish in his delivery & technique. He has yet bto KO a top 10 HW yet everyone claims he's the most powerful puncher out there. I'm not impressed. I think Rahman is a better version. When I first saw Wladimir fight I saw potential. I don't see that with Peter. Besides, Peter's a wife beating, smock wearing, product of Lou Duva's imagination. Complete hypejob for little results so far in his career.
I see. If a guy isn't as skilled, that's a good reason to hate him. Or if fans claim something, that's a good reason as well. Thanks! :thumbsup And I thought a good reason to hate another boxer was because they were total assholes.
What? Klitschko showed skills early on so there was justification to have such high expectations. The guy had power, delivery, speed & overall athleticism. Many comparisons were made to Lennox Lewis because of their sheer size, great jabs & power. I had nothing to do with that :bart Other people said that. :nono Not me alone.
I recall the great James "WBC Eliminator" Toney, digging his cranium into Sam's chest...rather than wait for incompetent officials to sort things out, Peter does what he has to in order to prevent rulebreaking...
".....in my opinion." In my opinion Klitschko should have been penalized for turning his back "in an illegal manner."
